This is the 25th year for the SFAS, being held at the SEAPARC Leisure Complex in Sooke. Two of my pieces of textile art are part of the show. One is a jacket embellished with needle felted silk and wool, titled “Let’s Go Out”. The other is a wall hanging inspired by a Hornby Island hideaway, titled “Beyond Edward’s Garden”. There are 375 works on display.

The Sooke Fine Arts Show provides the opportunity for both well-known and emerging artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to showcase their work. Along with the 7,500 annual visitors who attend the art show, the show draws hundreds of art patrons from British Columbia, and throughout western Canada and the United States.
As well, I have pieces in the gallery shop. Nuno felt scarves, silk and wool purses, vests and art cards featuring felt flower pin-ons are among the selection.
